The Patriarch Tikhon Choir, an American professional choir dedicated to the performance of Orthodox Christian sacred music, will perform at Pittsburgh’s First Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 17 at 7 p.m.
Conducted by renowned Moscow choirmaster Vladimir Gorbik, the program entitled “Their Sound Hath Gone Forth” will include works by Rachmaninov, Chesnokov, Kastalsky, Dinev, Trubachev, and Bortniansky, as well as more recent works by American Orthodox composers Kurt Sander, Nicholas Reeves, Nazo Zakkak, and Benedict Sheehan.
